Working Process

This Gel helps to dry faster, however it makes thick and shiny, also i can't put masking tape over it because the paints gonna fall off. For paintings such as landscapes without straight or detailed lines will be fine, but for this painiting, this medium is not suitable.

Now I'm painting an image of chair on the smaller canvas which is going to be on the top of this painting, like a actual collage. I'm gonna do canvas collage.

Finished work

I changed the layout in the last minute for exhibition.

I wasn't really satisfy with this paintings.

During the process, using organs and coloured smoke images were good however, the outcome didn't really satisfy me as much as I expected. Sometimes, this happens, and when I feel this way for my work, I keep the idea, and try to work differently next time.

I really want to try work on same idea, but different way, next time.
However,  by experiencing this, I learnt I work better with realistic images rather than abstract. The reason that I think this work is failed, this doesn't convey my message for environmental issue.. I don't know if that is good thing or bad thing..

Gabriel Orozco

It was quiet big exhibition, I didn't really enjoy his geometric paintings.

He seemed like really attached to geometrical images.. especially circles..?

However, I enjoyed the sculptures and photographs.

Personally the most interesting work was the empty shoe box.

When I first saw this work, I was so confused if this is art work or some one left it on the floor, because I couldn't find the label of work and for other sculptures, they have warning messages, but this one didn't. This picture is not from the same exhibition, couldn't find the same one. Anyway, I spent longest time in front of this work among that whole massive works. This work reminds me of conceptual art. There were some other people seems confused as me for if this is an actual work or not. Some people didn't even look at it. It was very interesting that how people react when they find empty shoe box sitting on the middle of exhibition.  And also, how the position of work can change the reputation of work was interesting. If he displayed this work on the proper table or prop, it would look more like a actual work. However, I could tell his purpose of putting it on the floor(like rubbish, and random)

Susan Hiller

Witness

I went to Susan Hiller's exhibition in Tate Britain.
I didn't have no idea who she was before I see the exhibition.

Many of her works were in different forms, such as an installation, video, photography, and collection of objects.

Hand Grenades 1972

I really liked the idea of 'Hand Grenades 1972' which is made of ashes from the paintings in the glass jars, labelled with the years. For me, this work looks really personal because, she is the only person who can visualise the images of paintings from same black ashes.
For other people it seems all same, ashes.

Also same idea for these painting cuts.
The Tao of Water: Homage to Joseph Beuys

From Freud Museum

Many of her works includes various collections of objects, and labels.

Each images inside the lead of box relates to the objects in box, sometimes bit confused  how they related to each other.
